Bhaktapur Durbar Square, nestled in the heart of the ancient city of Bhaktapur in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal, is a living museum of Newari art, culture, and architecture. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its exquisite palaces, temples, courtyards, and statues, which showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Newar people who have inhabited the region for centuries. The square is surrounded by magnificent buildings adorned with intricate wood carvings, stone sculptures, and metalwork, reflecting the craftsmanship and artistic prowess of the Newar artisans. The centerpiece of the square is the 55-Window Palace, a marvel of medieval architecture, adorned with elaborately carved windows, doors, and balconies. Other notable structures include the Nyatapola Temple, one of the tallest pagoda temples in
